I. HOW can I register my dog?
A. Get an application.
1. Make a copy off our website. (Applications) OR
2. Call for an application. (Call 845/735-0055)AND
3. Follow the instructions on the back of the single dog application. All Applications Must Have A Color Photo.
B. If you wish to place a photo on your certificate of registration,  please enclose a nice close up color photo of your dog and enclose an additional $8 fee with your request in the note you write on the original certificate you send back.  (See a sample of our new Designer Photo Certificate of Registration)

II. HOW do I register a litter?
A. Get an application. 1. Make a copy off our website. (Applications) OR
                                       2. Call for an application. (Call 845/735-0055)AND
                                       3. Follow the instructions on the back of the litter application.

III. ARE there any Free Universal products and services I can receive?
A. Free for Members of Universal .(Free For Members of Universal-there's plenty here!
B. Free Web Advertising at Universal. (Free Web Advertising-everyone loves this one)

V. I LOST my single dog registration papers from the person I bought the puppy from?
Just call us and we will check the litter registration and the Breeder, and if everything is in order, then we will be happy to re-issue any lost registration papers for your puppy directly. (Call 845/735-0055)

VI. I'm a breeder and I LOST the registration papers for the puppies I registered in a litter, what do I do?
Just call us and we will check the litter registration and if everything is in order, then we will be happy to re-issue any lost registration papers for your puppies. (Call 845/624-5555)

VIII.  I was a WINNER at a Universal sanctioned show, are there any FREE benefits?
Universal will issue a new certificate of registration to all the top winners of each category from our sanctioned shows, for Free. Stating right on your new certificate of registration what category you won. Just mail your original certificate of registration and a copy of the ribbon, a winners certificate or a photo of the trophy you won to us at Universal P.O. Box 574, Nanuet, NY 10954. Attention Show Department.

Universal may be the fastest return registry in the industry (with our special night crew), however, we also offer fast service at a reasonable cost. Please See our Priority Services.

XVI. WHY does Universal verify their Toy Rat Terriers, free? (See Verifications, Certifications and Typing)
We are the only registry that verifies our Toy Rat Terriers because:
1. It is difficult to tell the difference between a Toy Fox Terrier and a Toy Rat Terrier.
2. Only Universal has the main database of Rat Terriers in the world and can check the pedigree of any Rat Terrier litter or
any dog to verify whether it is a Toy Fox Terrier or a Toy Rat Terrier.
3.We believe, that if a registry does not verify all their Toy Rat Terriers, then there may always be confusion over the true breed of that dog. Also the registration of that dog is certainly less valuable. This is due to the fact that the Toy Fox Terrier is one of the breeds which came from the Rat Terrier.
4. We believe, unless all registries verify their Toy Rat Terriers, there is room for error in the registration process.
Improper verification and registration of any breed would diminish, divide or degrade any breed. Universal  maintains many high standards, verifications, certifications and typing systems adding to the value of your dog's registration. Therefore registration papers from Universal  are certainly more valuable then many other papers in the industry. This is due to the fact that Universal verifies its Toy Rat Terriers and has many other systems that maintain, build and promote the registration of all our breeds. The value of Rat Terriers everywhere has increased, due to all the many things Universal has built up and improved for the Rat Terrier. More and more people all over the world are asking for papers from Universal.
