All dogs are registered with Universal Kennel
Club International. There were at least 3 dogs competing in each competition.
The Toy Puppy winners are not assigned points as they are not verified Toys until they are
one year old, under Universal rules.
When the puppy is verified as a Toy Rat Terrier, then all previous points will be
officially assigned.
Each category was judged by three different judges rotated from the over 9 judges at the
show. The three independent judges scores were totaled and averaged and the dog with the
highest score, then next highest, then the next, second and third place winners,
respectively. Points are awarded and winners will be able to compete in Universal’s
National Grand Championship Rat Terrier Show.
Dogs must have a minimum of 15 awarded
points to compete in a Universal National Grand Championship Rat Terrier Show.
